At Knight Brenton James we believe that an understanding of funeral
pricing assists families to make rational well informed decisions. To
this end we have developed standard fees that cover both burial and
cremation funerals. These fees can, of course, vary in accordance with
personal wishes and requests. Our policy of "Pricing Honesty"
means that we quote as accurately as possible and take care to
ensure that there are no hidden fees or unexpected charges.
Please note that fees quoted here relate to services provided
during business hours in the Adelaide Metropolitan Area. Some services
required after normal business hours or in country areas may attract
additional fees.

A Guide to Cremation and Burial Costs
Our inclusive fees automatically provide for the following
essential services:

- Transfer from place of death to funeral home, 24 hours a day
within the Adelaide metropolitan Area.
- Consultancy by caring, experienced staff at your home or one of
our offices.
- Professional mortuary care, dressing and preparation of the
deceased person for viewing.

A Single Venue Cremation

(Our burial service fee provides the use of Knight Brenton James
facilities however excludes hire of chapel and lounge at major
cemeteries)

- Traditional timber veneer coffin in gloss rosewood finish with
handles.
- One standard funeral press notice.
- Floral casket sheaf of seasonal flowers.

- Military and/or Lodge tributes.
- Light refreshments following the service in crematorium or funeral
home chapel.
- Certified Copy of death certificate.

- Service in church or funeral home chapel and cortege to cemetery
for
graveside committal.
- Hearse and attendant staff.
- Traditional timber veneer coffin in gloss rosewood finish with six
(carrying) handles.
- One standard funeral press notice.
- Floral casket sheaf of seasonal flowers.
- Memorial Book.
- Military and/or Lodge tributes.
- Certified Copy of death certificate.

Additional common disbursements
|
- Cemetery fees relating to lease, removal of existing memorials, reopening and digging of
graves.
- Payment on your behalf to Clergy or independent civil celebrant.
- Payment on your behalf to medical practitioner when an invoice is
presented for the supply of death certificates for cremation services.
- Personal press notices other than the funeral notice.
- Some services scheduled outside of normal business hours.
- Additional pall bearers if required.

Your funeral consultant will be able to provide you with a more
accurate quotation based on your specific needs.
Other Options
There can be numerous factors that will affect the ultimate
funeral cost. The most common cause of extra cost are personal press
notices, memorial cards or hymn sheets, additional catering, additional
floral tributes, alternative
coffin or casket selections and, on occasions, the provision of an
organist or piper. Your funeral
consultant will be able to provide you with a detailed estimate of any
additional costs once you have discussed your exact requirements.
There are many ways to personalise the funeral of a family member or
friend. Here are some suggestions that COST NOTHING but may help to make
the funeral as memorable as it should be: |
- Part or all of the service read by family or friends.
- Display of photographs or other memorabilia during and after the
service.
- Special favourite songs or poems to be read or played.

Don't be afraid to make suggestions to your funeral consultant who will
be receptive to your ideas and help to make them a reality.

Still and moving picture
presentations are becoming more and more popular as a means to
personalise funerals and enhance the experience for family and friends.
